1. The objectives of the forest legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan are:

1) ensuring the regulation of public relations in the field of protection, protection, use of forest resources, reproduction of forests and afforestation;

2) creation of legal bases for the conservation of biological diversity of forests, objects of the state nature reserve fund, cultural and natural heritage, and their rational use.

2. The objectives of the forest legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan are:

1) state regulation of activities related to the protection, protection and use of the forest fund, forest reproduction and afforestation;

2) scientific support of activities related to the protection, protection and use of the forest fund, forest reproduction and afforestation;

3) ensuring public control;

4) development of international cooperation.

3. The principles of the forest legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan are:

1) recognition of the national importance of forests performing climate-regulating, environment-forming, field and soil protection, water protection and sanitary-hygienic functions;

2) sustainable forest development (continuous increase in the forest cover of the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan);

3) multipurpose use of forests;

4) rational, continuous, sustainable use of forest resources;

5) state control and supervision in the field of protection, protection, use of forest resources, reproduction of forests and afforestation;

6) differentiation of functions of regulation of forest management and functions of carrying out logging of the main use and processing of the received wood;

7) compensation for damage caused by violation of the forest legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

8) payment for the use of forest resources;

9) availability of information on the state of the forest fund;

10) participation of the population and public associations in the protection and protection of the forest fund.
